This is a family classic recipe brought from Essen Germany years ago. Rich, moist and delicious, this cake is traditionally served cold with whip cream or vanilla ice cream. Just add chopped apples (we often use Granny Smith), bake and enjoy. Makes a 9X12 pan of cake.

Delicious and easy to make!
This is so delicious ? and it's easy to make. Hardest part was chopping the apples. I decided to use Cosmic Crisp. I don't even need to put a frosting on it. Would be delicious slightly warm with vanilla ice cream. Will definitely be buying again!

This is the BEST cake mix I have ever purchased. For one who only bakes from scratch, I don't feel like I am cheating at all! This turns out to be better than 'home made'! I give it 10 stars and will keep this mix in my pantry all year.

Delicious Apple Cake!
Apple cake was so good....very moist and flavorful. It was very easy to make..just cut up the apples and mix the rest.
