This is a family classic recipe brought from Essen Germany years ago. Rich, moist and delicious, this cake is traditionally served cold with whip cream or vanilla ice cream. Just add chopped apples (we often use Granny Smith), bake and enjoy. Makes a 9X12 pan of cake.

Love this German Apple Cake mix! Reminds me of my Grandmother’s cooking.
Apple cake was so good....very moist and flavorful. It was very easy to make..just cut up the apples and mix the rest.
